In 1999 the Youth Service Bureau of Illinois Valley surveyed Seneca and determined a need for a youth program. So in January 2000 the Seneca Youth Program (SYP) was developed. Since that time many activities have been provided for youth and their families such as: Bus trips to Great America, skiing in Wisconsin and Disney on Ice shows in Chicago and Peoria, Visit with Santa, Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween activities, Story Time Craft at the library and a wide variety of other activities.
