Our Services:

Solutions Counseling-Individual, family and group counseling delivered by licensed master level therapists in Ottawa, Streator, Princeton, Morris, and LaSalle. Private insurance claimable through the following companies: Health Alliance, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Magellan. Whether you have problems concentrating, making decisions, mood swings, feelings of hopelessness, exposure to sexual, physical or emotional abuse, anxiety, fear, anger, depression, low self-esteem, conflicts in relationships with family, friends, or co-workers, have experienced a traumatic event like death or divorce, or are thinking about suicide, please call at 815.431.3000 or solutions@ysbiv.org.

Outreach Counseling-short term no fee counseling for youth age 9-17 and their parents. Bachelor level staff responds to referrals from youth, parents, school, police, probation, and other agencies. In home and school based counseling available. 24 hour 7 day a week emergency response is available by calling 815 433 3953. The Kids' Place offers all day early childhood education for the children of working parents. Serves children aged 15 months to 6 years of age. To learn more about The Kids' Place click here.

Children First-YSB helps divorcing parents learn about the effect of divorce on children and how to prepare them for this change in their family life. One time four hour sessions are offered periodically in Ottawa, LaSalle, Princeton and Morris. Call 815 431-3000 to register for classes and click here for directions to class locations.

Treatment Services-Master's level therapists provide counseling to abused and neglected children of all ages and their families. Referrals accepted through DCFS, probation, and other agencies. In home and school based assistance available. Contact our Treatment Supervisor at 815-431-3022.

Foster Care-Short and long term foster care provided to children of all ages in local licensed foster homes, including foster to adopt. After School Programs-A collaboration between local schools, University of Illinois Extension, YSB and parents.

Youth and Family Activities-YSB works with volunteers in several communities to offer unique and creative community events.
