Hi! I'm Toni Rogel and as Program Director for the After School programs, I'd like to tell you a bit about our programs and the employees involved in providing your child with a safe and positive environment that supports the academic and social benefits our kids need.

I work for the Youth Service Bureau of Illinois Valley (YSB). We have after school programs located in Ladd, Marseilles, and Princeton schools. Each office is staffed with an Educator Leader who is employed by the YSB. In addition to providing academic leadership; our Educator Leaders will assist the kids throughout the entire program during our fun fitness, snacks, life skills and creativity time. The tutors for our programs, also employed by YSB, will provide tutoring and academic support when needed. The tutor will also participate in providing mentorship and life skills support as well as assisting us throughout the entire program.

 Additionally, we partner with the University of Illinois Extension office that provides a Family Nutrition Program Coordinator (FNP) that leads the physical activity time, plans and prepares a nutritious snack and assists us throughout program time. Together, we will form a team that provides your kids with academic help, enjoyable & creative fitness, nutritional support, creativity in arts and important life skills. The kids will be guided with positive outlets and choice direction. An important focus of our Life Skills will include emphasis on abstinence from drugs, alcohol use and sexual behavior. We will also teach the kids the importance of becoming involved within their community. They will learn how they CAN make a difference! Throughout the year we will plan a variety of field trips.
